I don't know how often soft plastic baits are used in Germany but I think they would work well. Try to get some fin-s 5 & 7". For colors bubblegum (a must) pearl, shad and silver and pearl. For the 5" I use 1/8 & 1/4 oz. tube jigs. For the 7" a round straght eye hook 3/0 or 4/0. With the 7" I use split shot for weight about 18-24" from the bait adding or subrtacting shots as needed. For both I use 40# mono leaders and if I get too many bite-offs I change to steel leaders. I hook both so the hook comes through the back. When there are alot of weeds both can be rigged weedless. If you are fishing from shore keep on the move to find the active pike. Bait live or dead always works but I prefer artificials. For the last 10 years I fished soft plastic and have done well in the CT River. Let me know how you do. Good Luck.

Yeah allis quiet here,probably another month or so it will pick up.This site is a lot better than most i've visited,There isn't a lot of trash talking,or Fish tales,just a good core of fisherman,and women who like to share their experiences. |
